BIO/INTRODUCTION: Carl has lived in Knoxville and surrounding areas since he was a kid. He works as a Physician Assistant for Team Health and has been practicing at Fort Loudoun Medical Center’s Emergency room for the last 15 years. He was an All-American track and field distance runner in high school and still enjoys running, hiking, bicycling, surfing, or anything else outdoors.

WHY CARL IS WALKING: Having worked in our community’s emergency department for many years, I have encountered many domestic violence victims from many walks of life. I am here walking to show not only my support inside our emergency room walls but support for this in a very tangible and public way. Every single person deserves a safe space and Iva’s place makes sure that this is a reality for our women and children that are victims of domestic violence.
